Chris
Standring was trained
classically at the London College of Music. With ten years experience
as a freelance session player in London, Chris headed for Los
Angeles to put his artist career on the international map. He
quickly integrated himself among the elite Hollywood music community
enjoying success as a sideman both live and in the studio. Since
his arrival in California he has recorded with Bebe & Cece
Winans, Jodey Watley, Omar, The Solsonics, Carol Bayer Sager
and Rick Braun. He has performed live with Marc Antoine, Rick
Braun, Patti Austin, Bob James, Dave Koz, Richard Elliot, Boney
James, Siedah Garrett, Peter White, Kirk Whalum and Al Stewart.
In May 1996 Sonic Images records released his own acid jazz recording
project "solarsystem."
In
February 1996 Chris took part in the "Guitars Saxes &
More" US tour featuring Marc Antoine, Peter White, Kirk
Whalum and Rick Braun. He then became part of Rick Braun's touring
band for a year and a half and was featured as a writer and player
on his top selling album "Body & Soul."
